Once again, we would love to have artistic and creative writing submissions to present at the May 4th National Music Week Celebration. All submissions should be sent to Kayme Henkel at kaymehenkel@yahoo.com

 

Essays 

Topic: "Music…is unstoppable"

Essay must be typed and no longer than 500 words.

Email pdf of essay to Kayme along with a short bio of the author and a headshot. Include in the email this statement: “By sending this email I allow MMTA to use this essay as well as

permission to use my name, bio and picture in promotional media.”

 

Poetry

Any form of poetry is acceptable. The poem may be in traditional rhyming form, free verse, story, poetry form, etc. The poem must be an original, have a musical theme and musically themed title, have a length between eight and thirty lines. 

Email pdf of essay to Kayme along with a short bio of the poet and a headshot.

Display of artwork

No parameters. Art pieces can be delivered or mailed to Kayme. An email must be sent with a short bio of the artist as well as a headshot. Include in the email this statement: “By sending this email I allow MMTA to use this artwork as well as permission to use my name, bio and picture in promotional media.” Artwork will be returned to the student after the event.
