WISCONSIN YOUTH PIANO COMPETITION SET FOR JUNE 11-14, 2027

First Place Winner will perform for Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra youth concerts

 

Milwaukee, Wisc. (July 15, 2026) — The Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra and PianoArts are pleased to announce that the 2027 Wisconsin Youth Piano Competition will be held at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music, June 11-14. The competition is open to pianists between the ages of 10 and 16, who are legal residents of Wisconsin.

Teachers can find the approved competition repertoire on the MSO’s website. Approved Repertoire List.  More details, the application, and agreement will be available in the fall.

Prizes are $1,000, $750, and $500. Beyond cash prizes, the winner receives the honor of performing as a guest artist with the MSO for upcoming Youth Concerts.

The Wisconsin Youth Piano Competition is sponsored by the JoAnne Krause Education Endowment Fund of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra. It is an outgrowth of the biennial North American Piano Competition, the PianoArts flagship event.
